Master Gardener Volunteer Training

Don't miss the opportunity to become a Master Gardener Volunteer in the Spring of 2015.  Christy Marsden, UW-Extension Horticulture Educator, has organized the training which will start in January with classes held at the Craig Center at the Rock County Fairgrounds.  The Master Gardener program is a volunteer organization designed through the University of Wisconsin Extension to train horticulture volunteers.  Volunteer learn the fundamental basics of horticulture so they can become effective community leaders through volunteering.  Training will involve at home reading and online lectures, followed by in-class activities.  Deadline for registration is December 15th, 2014 and there is a class fee of $200.  See for more information on this exciting opportunity.  Below are Master Gardeners dividing hostas at Rotary Botanical Gardens back in 2009.
