"Drone's Eye" View

All of these photos were supplied by Jim Buscemi and his handy camera drone.  Jim shared some late season photos of the gardens with us a couple months back and offered to do a "fly over" of the Holiday Lights Show (HLS) as well.  This sure gives an idea of the scale of the HLS throughout the 20 acres of gardens.  If I had a drone I would never have to leave the office and could keep an eye on everything from a distance.....

We had a nice turnout of volunteers this morning.  Pat headed back out for more winter pruning right away while Ron P. and Patrea continued repairing and processing HLS lights.  Pat C. came in to help with a clerical project and Dr. Yahr stopped in as well.  Dick H., Ron Y., Dave, Jim, Vern and Bob K. all worked on carpentry projects and some other shop projects.  We also saw Mark S., Dr. Gredler and some others today.  I'm getting through my fifth seed catalog and continue to think in terms of 2015.  The HLS will be on tonight for the Business After 5 (BA5) which is a private event that should share our facility and the HLS to a wide range of local professionals.   Last night we had some great exposure for the HLS with Carlos Tucker and Curt from NBC 15 (Madison) shooting the weather from the HLS at both 5 pm and 6 pm.  We had 5 nice segments promoting the show and Carlos can be seen below with Sue M. and myself.  We appreciate Carlos and Curt promoting the show to such a wide audience!
