We had a very productive day out in the yard of the Horticulture Center preparing for the Spring Plant Sale. See our website for more details and some plant lists for the vegetable and herb offerings. The day fluctuated between drizzle, rain and finally some sun with temperatures reaching around 80 degrees F. It became quite humid for sure. That didn't stop our volunteers like Audra (left) and Janet seen directly above. These ladies are veterans of plant sale tagging and along with Joy, Jim, Carol, Pat R., Don, Pearl, Tina B., Nancy and some others, the pricing and labeling went very well. Some of the action is represented in these photos. Our last delivery (picked up by Terry and John) came in with the tomatoes so we're just getting final preparations accomplished before the RBG Members Only Pre-Sale this Friday (9 am - 4 pm). Folks can become members that day at the sale and start shopping immediately (with the 10% discount applying throughout the sale). Cindy, Cheryl, Terry, John and Janice had a wide range of activities, most revolving around the plant sale. I also bounced between plant sale duties and we had some other activities out in the gardens. Other volunteers included Eva weeding in multiple locations and Bill O. mowing. Nancy, Alan and Dr. Gredler all did a great job painting and were very helpful. We also saw Maury, Dr. Gredler, Dick H., Dick D., Jerry, Ron R., Polly, Kris K. and many others. It was a busy day. I was able to take some quick photos primarily in the woodland walk garden which is looking spectacular!
