Gardens of American History

Rotary Botanical Gardens is proud to participate in the Gardens of American History trip next August 15-24, 2014.  This trip, facilitated by Travel Scope Travel Agency and Colette Vacations, will feature some of the best gardens and historical sites out East and I'll be travelling along with the group (don't let that deter you!).  All the event details are on the RBG website (www.rotarybotanicalgardens.org) under the EVENTS tab.  Feel free to view the brochure for details on the itinerary and for pricing information.  Above is a shot of the New York Botanical Garden which is one of the finest gardens in North America and the first stop on this tour.  The photos included in this blog are mine and don't include all the sites (many of which I have not yet seen!).  The itinerary includes time in New York City, The New York Botanical Garden, High Line Garden, Chanticleer, time in Philadelphia and the Brandywine Valley, Longwood Gardens, Ladew Topiary Gardens, Monticello (guided tour), the Shenandoah Valley, Colonial Williamsburg (full day tour), Washington D.C. tour, the United States Botanic Garden, Hillwood Estate and Gardens and Dumbarton Oaks.  This is a wonderful carefree experience for some awesome gardens with some nice free time interspersed as well.  Many meals are covered and the travel itinerary is quite detailed.  Check it out!
