Preparations Dampened But Not Diminished!
We had a lot of rain this morning with about 2.2" coming down over a six hour period and ending around 9 am. It didn't "dampen" our spirits and our Fall Plant Sale "preparation team" hit the ground running just as the skies cleared. Below are Jenny (green) and Sue getting pricing tags out and we also had help from Cindy, Tina, Nancy B., Gary B., Ellen T., Magda, Charlotte, Doris, Mary Ann, Joy and many others. Janice did a great job with helping orchestrate the set up and we had later help from other staff and some Grumpies. Jenny has been a huge help too and this was her last day for the year. We did have some productive inside work during the morning rain from Dave, Jim, Bob K., Vern, Ken (new Grumpy seen in the bottom photo) and many others. Dr. Gredler got outside to mow later in the day and Lloyd helped with some other plant sale preparations. Gary S. was in for some labeling work and we also saw Dr. Yahr and many others today. Below are some photos from this morning. See www.rotarybotanicalgardens.org for more information regarding this awesome plant sale with perennials, grasses, shrubs, mums, bulbs, pansies, kale, bagged compost, etc.
