Spring Symposium Success

Above is Kris K. (RBG Education Coordinator) with Peter Hatch, one of our speakers at the annual Rotary Botanical Gardens Spring Symposium today.  Peter was Director of Gardens and Grounds at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello estate.  He gave a nice presentation followed by signings of his book.  It was a healthy crowd of 130 and the day went well.  I gave a presentation first, followed by Peter and then a closing presentation from Kyle Cherek, host of the Wisconsin Foodie show.  It was a nice day with weather that allowed folks to head out in the gardens.  Great teamwork of staff and volunteers with Kris K. as the lead allowed us to get ready and execute a super duper day.

we had a full room (130+ attendees)
Peter entranced us all (above)
Kyle Cherek (above) gave an informative and entertaining presentation

Lois (left) and Chris worked the Janesville Area Herb Society booth
RBG employees Polly (left) and Cheryl (new Director) were a big help all day
Cindy, Big John and Terry (eyes closed) represented the grounds staff with Cheryl and Jenny and also helped with the event
Kelli (left) and Laura (both past RBG employees) enjoyed the day
